Since I want to try a red dot on my XDM 4.5 9mm Elite, I switched in the 9mm OSP slide and switched the barrels. My alternative was to pay $250-300 for a gunsmith to drill holes into the original non-OSP slide. The only remaining hurdle is that the OSP slide still has suppressor height sights. Ive never replaced handgun sights.

It appears to 5.25 is essentially the SA version of a Glock 34. I know the Glock 34 frame is exactly the same as Glock 17, therefore slides and frames are swappable. Is it the same with the 9mm 5.25 competition version? Could I swap this slide onto another XDM frame of the same type and vice versa?
