Has anyone come up with a good way to fill the hole left? I feel like it is just asking for dirt and grime to get in there. Unless the design has changed, the pin has a flange on one end. Looking from the rear toward the front sight, the pin should be inserted from the left side. When the slide stop/release is inserted, the pin is then captured. I you insert the pin from the right side, it will simply fall out since there's only a bit of friction to keep it in place.
