This is happening frequently here in south east Pennsylvania in the winter. It did happen once in the summer. I keep clearing the code with my ODB II scanner. Mar 17, 2018 · Follow up to the original question. My CEL has been on for a few days. Finally scanned last night and got the same code P0128. Coolant was pretty low, but not below the add line. I went ahead and topped off the coolant. Was hoping that's the simple fix before replacing the thermostat. The jeep is running fine, all the temperatures seem normal.
