The blog post told us the NPC update is build 43. 42 is a misc update with some new features, but nothing immensely big. Keep in mind that although build 40-41 took a full year or so, they claim that this was only due to the complete rewrite it basically required of the game. The hope is that builds 42-43-44 and onward will not take nearly as long.

Got me thinking about spicing up our Project Zomboid gameplay with the upcoming Build 42. I'm brainstorming some server mods to recreate that isolation vibe with friends. Thinking of removing or having the occasional 1-3 zombies pop up randomly for a more chill experience, and maybe hunting for a nature-themed map/game-play.
