I have a 1987 John Deere 185 Hydro with a 17 hp Kawasaki FC540V motor. When i start the mower the battery light comes on and stays on & when i engage the blades they will stay engaged for a few seconds then the blades will disengage with the pto switch still on & the battery light goes off for few seconds.Kawasaki fc540v-ks00. so I have this Kawasaki 17hp beast. It's in my gt262 Deere. It's the later version so no igniter. Started having starting issues after heated up. Let sit for 2 hrs or so, run fine till you shutoff. Then have to let sit again.
