I used JKL R7, JKR R5, Old Ben R5, Hermit Yoda R5 and R2D2 R7 as I lacked another Jedi, haha. I 3* the new Admiral Trench tier with JML (R9) (L), JKL (R7), JKR (R3), Hyoda (R4) and Yoda (R3). Kill order for me was the Sniper droid summon, WAT, Jango, Trench, Nute and lastly Dooku. You can refresh any given tier twice for a crazy amount of crystals. So in theory you can get up to 60 shards/event, but it's costly. So if you're starting with 0 shards and doing 2 refreshes on a given tier, it will take roughly 6 months to unlock any given toon.
