Midnight Bolt Notes & Tips. Midnight Bolts are required to receive a certain item from certain enemies in order to get the "secret" Ending. The first time a Midnight Bolt can be used to receive this "certain item" is in Act 4. Do not sell or waste it on normal enemies. You will need 6 bolts in order to get the best ending possible.
