Id say Estoc simply because it has a better moveset IMO. Ricards R2 is cool, but you can only use it against some slowmoving enemies. Estoc has a wicked R2 slash, and some nice long range pokes twohanded. The Rapier also has a nice lunging R2, and very few weapons can parry/backstab harder than a +15 Rapier. 4.If left hand weapons are the same in Dark Souls as they are in Demons, they will be only good for dual wielding (to create a stunlock effect and offer faster off-hand swings) and to give some sort of passive bonus (like the magic-boosting Kris Blade). Balder Side Sword blows the entire Rapier weapon class out of the water by having a thrusting R2. If you are dead set on a Rapier you definitely want to have a high Int or Faith to use a buff on it.

Estoc isn't a bad dex (sharp) weapon. There are better weapons out there (I like to min/max) but I know that it's a fan favorite and you use what weapons you want to. According to the wiki at +3 it gets a B scaling in dex. Its a heavily underrated weapon but with an incredibly monstrous range, also great for punishing and putting the pressure on, just careful with those backstabbers so mixing it with a sweep weapon or the force miracle is a must. I prefer the Estoc's longer range over the Rapier's extra damage (Estoc also looks cooler). The long reach also helps when I feel like attacking from behind a shield at a safer distance. I do use the Rapier off-hand so I'm forced to learn how to parry/ dodge faster, so I may switch over to Rapier again. But for now, I like Estoc the best.

Poison can be decent, but you lose a lot of normal damage. Bleed kinda sucks. Magic can be decent if you also have a buff. Lightning would be better. I don't advise infusions if you don't have the ability to cast a spell buff.
