The 300 Wby is a very hard hitting round. You want 180 gr to 200 gr bullets, the heavier one retaining more energy over longer ranges. A single bullet for NA is easy, 180 gr PT or AB. If you want to include the big bears, 200 gr PT for everything and don't look back. IMHO, I would start looking at the 180 gr AB. Welcome to the forum. I have used 75.0 gr RL 22 with a 180 gr bullet in the 300 Win Mag with excellent results. Well under MOA accuracy and 3000 fps in 3 different rifles. Others have used the same load with similar results. With this kind of stellar performance, its difficult to want to try anythig else. JD338.

I got to test a couple loads in my 300 win mag this week. I also tried one a couple weeks ago that didn't work out, which was RL25 and 180 grand slams.
