Anyhow, Im just curious- will the motor/trans/primary come off and on as a unit, or do I need to pull the primary, then the motor, then the trans, then install the trans, motor and primary in that order. I did find this video. Going to be a fun job, but the looks of it. I am very experienced, but have never done a motor swap.

The road kind uses a high output stator which is a lot wider. Also the harness is different. Either swap the old sensors and harness or re pin the road king harness. One other thing you should do to help with the life of the bigger engine is to install a larger oil cooler. With the added size of the engine and the weight of your trike kit and passenger the bigger engine will run hotter. I use Amsoil 60wt synthetic in my engine to help keep the temps lower.
