An old-school method for flushing big diesel coolant systems, like my 7.3 Powerstroke, was to use automatic dishwasher detergent or TSP. But of course these days neither actually contains Phosphates, the active ingredient mechanics were after. I assume you used Prestone Flush rather than Radiator Cleaner ( Prestone ).
