I did see semtecks use the bofa at zuk for the extended range. 1 def iron yes (no scale/dart supply), 1 def normie just use blowpipe with amethyst darts. Its same strength as diamond bolts, more accuracy than acb and faster.

but yes, without armor bowfa still good, though crossbows can be better (ruby bolts) You can full recharge a crystal set in 4-5 hours of thieving and it'll last you months. I used it for my d pick grind at chaos ele. Went with black d hide and it performed acceptably. Not worth using without the crystal armor brother.

It’s still a better crystal bow so useable for sure , and sees good use at lizardman shamans (where you can’t use the armor anyway) as a free to use alternative to bp. I would try to limit the use pre corruption though, which is likely if you don’t have the armor yet. If it is though go wild.
