Make your character immune to darkness/cannot be blinded. Warp to first waypoint for act 3. There is a beggar npc by the wall. To be clear being a dick doesnt break oaths. One of the possible companions is an evil drow paladin for example. With devotion you need to make a promise and then go back on that promise.
