I've had my fold since launch (pre-ordered). I've taken great care of the device and recently the screen protector on the inside screen started lifting (almost unnoticeable) at the top and bottom of the fold crease. Well this weekend it started lifting more and now every time I open the fold it lifts more.Sounds more like your screen broke, and they didn't want to replace it. The protector peeling/bubbling around the crease seems to be one of the common factors with the screen cracking up the middle. I considered a new protector, but difficult to get where I am so I ended up not bothering. I have a fold 3 with over 14 months and absolutely no issues. Inner protector did start to peel off and I removed it but installed a whitestone film and no issues since. In another thread I read that having the inner screen with no protector may lead to this issue.
