I just had the same thing happen, but from a new heating element. 3 5 flashes same color as heat level means its a short in the atomizer. Press on the pin in the bottom, wiggle it a little, then reseat it. Try again. Red and white flashing lights is usually a connection issue with the atomizer. Here's a couple things you can try after ensuring the connections are clean.
