Damn I thought I heard somewhere that they got rid of the tether. That's lame. There wasn't any thether distance on evolved just ~2000m from the host as soon there were 3+ players in the server. There's a setting for it under Game Rules->Rules. Slider goes up to 3, but allows you to type a higher number in.

By default it's 1. Try like 200 or 100 or 50 until it works then raise it up until you find the limit. I tried with those options (200 100 50 and 3), but the tether distance still stayed at 180 meters.😢. It just doesn’t work, I’ve put the slider to the max which is 3, and it doesn’t do anything.

Mine was definitely worse with dlss on. I'm thinking maybe it's an issue when it's sunny out and casting lots of shadows. The shadows appear to be running at low fps with little skips here and there.
