I chrono'd some 2014 CBC 5.56 77gr and some 2014 IMI 5.56 77gr as a comparison to the AAC 77gr OTM. The CBC 5.56 77gr was doing an average of 2873fps out of the Krieger, previous testing of the same lot of 2014 CBC 77gr from a FN CHF 20" 5.56 chamber was an average of 2752fps.

For sure. I got 1.5 out of my 18” white oak but the criterion was 2+ consistently. For reference, that white oak barrel shoots 55g lake city just as well as the AAC 77g OTM. For 77s, IMO, the OTM was underperforming. I also noticed the SD was higher (24ish IIRC) with the OTMs vs like 11 with the SMKs in 20 shot strings.
There are reports of their 77gr OTM (in house bullets) showing high pressure signs/popped primers. They know of the dented case issues but continue to ship ammo without having implemented their fix. I'd rather have $1.2/cpr ammo where I can get my hit the first time vs $0.50+ ammo that might take 2-5rds to get my hit.
The Sierra MatchKing bullet is an Open Tip Match design. Take note that the offerings by AAC are ~150 fpm less that the IMI 77gr SMK OTM LR MOD 1. I tested BHA MK262, IMI Razorcore and AAC 77gr SMK on my Block II AR last year and the BH was still obviously better than both but IMI was close.
